French born Samia BOUSBAÏNE made her musical debut at the age of four at the ‘Conservatoire pour Musique, Dance et Arts Dramatiques’ in Roubaix, France.
At the age of thirteen, she obtained the Final Degree of Harp with unanimity of the jury and great distinction, and a Gold Medal.
At sixteen, she was awarded the First Prize of Progress and a Gold Medal for Chambermusic with unanimity and congratulations from the jury.
She improved her technique with Professor Susanna MILDONIAN of the ‘Koninklijk Conservatorium’ of Brussels, and obtained the Master’s Degree for Harp and the Master’s Degree for Chambermusic with the greatest distinction.
She also obtained the Teacher’s Licence for Psycho-Pedagogics.
She was awarded following prizes in international competitions:
- Second Prize in the International Harp Concours, Brussels (Belgium)
- Second Prize in the Concours InternationalFelix Godefroid, Namur (Belgium)
- Second Prize in the Internationale Harpcontest, Godöllö (Hungary)
- Honorary Prize Ingeborg Köberle, Brussels (Belgium)
She can be see performing in the following orchestras:
the Antwerpen Symphony Orchestra, the National Belgian Orchestra, the Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, the Orkest van de Koninklijke Muntschouwburg, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Luxembourg an the Ictus ensemble.
From 2011 on she is invited solo harpist in the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra.
From 2005 to 2013 the worldfamous violinist and conductor Augustin DUMAY requested her to accompany him in numerous concerts and recordings.
He also invited her as solo harpist at the Orchestre de Chambre de Wallonie.
With Olsi LEKA(cello-solo at the Belgian National Orchestra ad Cello Professor at the Royal Conservatorium in Brussels and in Antwerp, Belgium) she forms the DUO EDEN.
